Pono Ranch opened with a mission to create a space rooted in balance, community, and authentic Northwest character. Inspired by the Hawaiian word “pono” — meaning harmony and natural balance — the venue was built using reclaimed materials that reflect Ballard’s industrial heritage, including a historic 1903 steam crane that still stands as part of our outdoor patio.

What began as a passion project quickly became one of Ballard’s most unique gathering places. With live music, open-air dining, handcrafted cocktails, fire-pits, and a warm neighborhood spirit, Pono Ranch has grown into a true local oasis — a place where the community comes together to celebrate, unwind, and enjoy the simple things done right.
